The role of the Church Choir Mondsee is to present sacred and liturgical music at the parish church and at affiliated churches around Mondsee.  Well conceived concepts should secure a supply of sacred music of the Middle Ages to date, particularly to the Basilica Mondsee.

The tradition of church music from the region of Salzburg plays an important role. Works of composers like Stefano Bernardi, J. E. Eberlin, Joh. Michael Haydn, W. A. Mozart, et al, are part of the choir’s regular repertoire.
